Happy September everyone!
Some changes to the schedule:
Starting Saturday (the 7th) Muay Thai class is back in session! This is the perfect chance for you to start Muay Thai if you've never trained it before.
This also marks Dylan Dwyer's official welcome to the coaching staff here at JJC, we're excited to have him join the teaching team and look forward to you guys getting to experience his informative and fun coaching style.
Starting next week Fundamentals in the evening will differentiate between Gi and Nogi just like we do in the morning! The plan is to focus on the specific gripping exchanges, and variations that come with the different uniforms of Jiu Jitsu, so you don't feel under prepared for either once you start the intermediate classes.
Monday 6pm GI
Tuesday 7am NOGI
6pm NOGI
Wednesday 6 pm GI
Thursday Level I- will continue to alternate two weeks NOGI and two weeks YES GI
Friday 7 am GI
6 pm takedowns NOGI (unless otherwise specified)
Saturday mixed level will continue to be GI
Uniform requirements for GI- Jiu Jitsu Gi and ranked belt. Under the Gi: a rash guard or tee shirt and compression shorts or board shorts. Please no bare chests, or sports bra only.
Uniform requirements for NOGI- on top- a rashguard or fitted Tee shirt. No tank tops or sweat shirts. For bottoms: board shorts spats and shorts. No vale tudo shorts (short compression shorts), shorts should fall at least to mid thigh, if they are worn without a compression layer under.
Please do not wear any clothes for grappling where you are exposing your undergarments (bras, underwear, or cups) in any way.
Open mats will remain your choice of uniform, but typically follow whatever class preceded it.
Thanks everyone!
